Amazing Golf Course

The course is in decent shape, but the greens had just been punched and some of the tee boxes need some work to get them in shape. Would have preferred that they told me the greens had been punched, I wouldnt have wanted to play it. They didnt have enough carts, so we ended up waiting half an hour past our tee time while they waited for a cart to become available. They did give us a couple beers to make up for it though. Its obvious that their is some effort being put into making the course better, but not sure Id make the hour drive back.

I played golf with my grandson at The Rock last Sunday. During our entire round, they were operating a track loader near the clubhouse which, along with it's extremely loud reverse warning beeper, could be heard all over the course! This, on a beautiful summer Sunday, a good day for a quiet peaceful round of golf.....is unacceptable. Anyone who thinks this was the right thing to do has no idea how to run a golf course. Until The Rock management figures that out, I will find other places to play.Wendell Hardin

Played The Rock twice in the last week. What a beautiful course! Some of the holes are picture perfect, I found myself just looking at the natural surroundings. The eight hole has a water fall to the right of the tee box that is worth the price of play. Now regarding the course. Tommy, the new owner has done exactly what he did at Legacy Pines in Mauldin, SC. He put the greens in absolutely perfect condition. He also has worked to improve the fairways which now are really beautiful. I promise you the course is not an easy play. The greens are relatively small and some of the holes are tight.. However, it truly is a fun course. I plan on making my trip to The Rock at least three times a month. Regarding the staff. The young man who runs the Pro Shop is super friendly. And, the employee who was doing carpentry work, stopped what he was doing and assisted me while the Pro Shop young man was helping another guest. Just super friendly staff. If you know Tommy he never stops working and improving. Currently, they are rebuilding their pro shop. I am sure when it is done, it will be great. .

Very nice layout, course was in great shape. Very nice staff and reasonable pricing.

Memorial Weekend 2020, group of 9. Fantastic time and great golf. The golf course is a fun track and quite challenging. Some unique holes with a great setting on #8 with the waterfall. The greens were fantastic and the course improvements are quite evident. Hiking, biking and golf, there's something for everyone. We got to spend some time with Tommy and Anthony to learn about the history and surrounding area as well as future plans for the course, club house etc. In addition to learning about The Rock they both took the time to show our group some extended hospitality which we were all very impressed by. Can't thank theses guys and their staff enough. Highly recommend!
