As a member of the fire department but not a resident of the actual community, my experience with residents and the POA has been wonderful. I take my son fishing in the lakes and other than then rare unfriendly person, we are mostly met with friendly greetings and nice conversations. While working inside the community, everyone seems to appreciate our services and compliment the high level we provide.

While the trails and lakes and views are gorgeous, this is NOT the place for families. While not technically a 55+ community, as one of the few families, we have been harassed by our neighbors since we arrived.Despite one of our neighbors finding us to be a completely normal family with well-behaved children, other neighbors have made it clear we are not welcome from almost day one. A letter was illegally left in our mailbox chastizing us because our youngest children cry too loudly. A neighbor sent a 'dossier' to our landlord accusing my mother of committing identy theft (due solely to shoddy research on the elderly woman's part) and pointing out to my landlord we are unmarried (as if it is difficult to figure out due to our differing last names.) Management was informed, and did nothing. In a crazy coincidence, the harassing parties may or may not actually be members of the board. We were reported for parking in the street. Management found out that those were legal spaces, but never checked before accusing us. We have been told our children are not allowed to play in our cul-de-sac, even supervised, even when all houses on the cul-de-sac were vacant for months. I am not sure if the discrimination and harassment is due to us having children, or my wife being Hispanic, but it has been made clear we are not welcome here. We are torn between leaving because of the harassment, or renewing our lease to deprive our neighbor of what she wants.
