To all the One Star reviewers regarding rudeness of the staff. I have been a member for quite a while and I am not employed by Hunting Hawk. I have never known the staff to be rude. If you break the alcohol rules, you will be spoken to about that. There are several signs. If you can read, you should know better. If a marshal tells you that you need to pick up your playing pace, it is because you are holding up multiple groups behind you. You should not have to be told that, all you have to do is look behind you to see other players waiting for you to finish hole after hole. The marshal is not being rude, YOU are, to all the groups of players behind you. If you want to play an inexorably slow round, go to Sycamore Creek.

Was out there yesterday with a group of friends. We were treated horribly by the lower tier staff. We were greeted by a dude threatening to search our coolers, and later the same dude came out and harassed my group on the golf course. He said he warned us twice already, only to be corrected that he had in fact warned the group behind us instead. In both encounters the dude was rude, and appeared to be on a power trip. I have played the Hawk for 15 years now, used to be a member in a regular Saturday group, and I will not be returning. Any business is a reflection of how it treats its customers, and on this you failed us yesterday. Will not be returning for some time, if ever. Your actions yesterday spoke volumes. Disappointed, I remain. -Moorefield

I played a round out at Hunting Hawk on Thursday afternoon with my son as an early Father's Day get together and thoroughly enjoyed it! We we're a bit hesitant after seeing all of these one star reviews but it was far from a one star experience. They even have a senior discount card which saved me a few bucks! It seemed pretty busy, and since we are beginners, we were worried that we wouldn't feel comfortable playing with a large crown or another group. They paired us up with two other golfers who play at Hunting Hawk frequently and we really enjoyed the company. The staff was friendly both at check-in and in the grill, even when we were caught bringing our own beer in a personal cooler. The grill manager mentioned to us that we couldn't bring our own due to ABC Laws and they even pointed out the signs to us that are posted around the clubhouse so it wasn't a big deal. We will do better next time! The golf course was in awesome shape, probably the best we have played around the city within the last few months. Greens rolled well and fairways were beautiful even though a little wet following the rain on Wednesday (We don't like cart path only - bad legs). The driving range was closed because of the rain so that was disappointing but we just ended up putting before our tee time. We had such a great time that we even booked another tee time for Father's Day with another father and son to do it all again and we are definitely looking forward to it (weather permitting).Thank you Hunting Hawk for a great experience and we look forward to frequenting your club in the near future. And to all of the golfers out there like us who enjoy reading reviews before going to a business, you might miss a great experience due to some people who only leave bad reviews, don't be mislead and be sure to check this place out!

I am sorry we had a bad experience. This WAS NOT our first time in a 4-some, but it WAS the first time I was rushed to finish a game (starting on hole 2). We played a few weeks ago (somewhere else)with an 8:10 tee time on the first warm sunny day Of the spring. It was crowdedwe werent told to rush and we had several groups behind us. I did not see the marshal speak to the groups in front of ours who teed up multiple times and caused us to become bottle necked (we also watched the 4-some in front of them hit more than one off the tee when their first shots went in the woods). They probably didnt get to warm up because the driving range was closed. I hope we were treated the same as the other groups playing on the course and we were not being singled out because there was a female in our party. I hope women are treated equally at hunting hawk. I understand there was a tournament in the morning and they had scheduled a party of 2 on the wrong day so they had to shove them in somewhere. I just wish there was better communication from the start. The group of 2 behind us made a comment (as we waited for the group ahead of us to get far enough ahead), they said we arent here to make friends, we are here to golf...I wish we had the option for them to play thru. I am not sure if they complained at the beginning because they saw we had a lady in our group and they assumed she was going to suck (she played an incredible game). I think we would have been happy starting on the back-9 or given other options (Like letting the group play thru). What would have happened if we walked? I dont think there would have been enough time. What if it was a group of 4 ladies? On a brighter note...The cart seemed clean and sanitized from covid-19 which was appreciated. I am sorry this was a bad experience. Maybe everyone is on edge due to the current pandemic, but this is a time where we need to be kind to one another.
