The superintendent Richard King is an embarrassment to the golf course. I have been playing at the course for over 20 years and have never seen the level of disrespect shown by Richard King. If you have any problems with the safety on the course due to employees not paying attention and walking up on a green as you hit he doesn't care.He was disrespectful and told us just leave if we don't like his policy. His policy is a safety concern and its a shame that Richard King's ego gets in the way of what's best for the golf course, employees , and the paying customer. RICHARD KING ruined the image of a customer friendly golf course

Heard nothing but great things about this course saying it's the best around, it's NOT AT ALL! This place is barely playable. Greens were so slow and soft you sank in them standing there and had weeds in the green. Fairways are dead and hard as a rock. 50 dollars to play here is laughable. Save your money and drive somewhere else. This is absolutely not the best place around, it one of the worst.

One of the worst golf courses Ive ever played on. I wouldve been better off playing golf on an asphalt road. Greens were in terrible condition. Fairways were non existent. The workers were watering the greens so much that you would sink into them. If youre in Abilene and want to play golf go to Diamondback. And least youre getting what you pay for. I would not recommend this course to anyone.

The condition of the greens was a pleasant surprise. They were soft, fast and the ball rolled smoothly. The fairways have a few rough spots, but overall I found it to be a golf course that I will want to play again and again.
