Power tripping 'Ranger'.....we have played this course without issues quite a bit. The Manager, is a very nice woman who runs the bar/drinks etc. So we book a 6 man scramble (2 teams of 3) days in advance. When we arrived we decided it would be easier if we played 3 teams of 2 to save on carts. The man at the counter said that's fine and made sense. Right before we tee off we are stopped and told to play the back 9 first. So...okay we start on 10. We finish and head to 11. We are on the green putting and noone was behind us at this point. This 'Ranger' pulls up and interrupts us to say 'you're playing slow and people are behind you'. We said there is noone behind us? Because there wasn't......he proceeds to say 'well they will be sometime' which I have no idea what the heck that means. We all paid the same $ right? Not to mention we know golf etiquette and if we are holding people up we will gladly let them play through. He was rude and kept poking but I dont know what his point was? After a bit of this, one in our group got irritated and finally told the guy to leave us alone and was rude back. We called the manager and said 'let us play or give our $ back' she said go ahead and play, but wanted us in 2 teams of 3, which slowed us down with a split team on one cart. We only had 3 carts. But whatever, we did it without slowing anyone down. Dealing with the 'Ranger' and calling the manager was a 10 minute stoppage. So 'Ego Ranger' comes back after 5 holes, interrupts us again and says for no reason, and with attitude 'if they catch you let them play through' (we just seen people behind us but they were not waiting on us, they were on the last hole before this, also this guy had a camera pointing at us?) Clearly this guy just had to get the last word, and say this to poke us. Which led to another back and forth with our group and him, another slow down, for no reason. We called manager again and she gave our money back and we left. This guy clearly had a problem with something, just not sure what. Will not go back, will not spend another dime there. That was $200 they lost and I'm sure we aren't the only ones that's dealt with that guy. I am not going to say that some of our group didnt get rude with the guy, but he was rude to the point it upset people, and then the niceness was gone. I am almost 40 and have golfed for 20 years and never dealt with anything like this. We have played that course many times and we have waited many times on people, at one point just 2 weeks ago, there was 5 separate groups on one hole...it was that backed up. We never complained and never seen the 'Ego Ranger' when that happens. It happens in golf, it just does. But to have a chip on your shoulder, and tell guys 'at some point today you may hold someone up' what the heck is the point and what are you trying to accomplish? The manager is great, always has been, that guy needs another job not dealing with the public. She only heard his side and our side. I'm sure they were both different. She tried to correct the situation, but old 'Ranger' had to come back. This guy started an argument, and then came back with a camera to start another argument. I have seen sneaky people do the same thing to other people. My guess is he wanted to show we were jerks, you know, make people mad and then film after you have made them mad. Hope he found what he was looking for.
