Course was in fantastic shape except for the ball marks on the greens. People are stupid and don't repair them.

Let me start by saying that Westchester Golf Course was built as an incentive for a very nice housing development. People were buying expensive houses, and they were presented with a Michael Hurdzan designed golf course where they lived. Then came the recession of 2008, and things changed dramatically. So, you have a high end course, with a low end club house, forced to pare down services and maintenance (not just this course, but many courses). Flash forward, and the owner builds the clubhouse this course needed. So, maintenance has gotten better, and this excellent course has improved. Still a ways to go, but better. The layout is still great, the course is challenging, and it is a beautiful place to play for a reasonable price.
