In all fairness, it is my understanding that parts of this course were flooded in the spring. It appeared that several areas had been reseeded, particularly in the rough, but recent lack of rain has caused them to be sparse so the grass hasn't spread evenly. It sits in a low area that was once a quarry. Fairways are lined by high grass mounds so you each hole is more or less alone. Because it's low humidity and heat can hang with little noticable wind but it's up there. The layout was pretty good but it should be played from either of the back tees. The blue tees at 5800 are too short and they tended to have them more forward than normal. Greens have a lot of pin position options. Medium speed. Most of the trouble was front of the green, not middle or back. It would be worth the $45 if it was in a bit better condition. Fairways are bermuda. Not sure but the rough had several different grasses. Some blind shots and driver not always the best selection. There is a lot of potential here.

Played 5/24. Course is in fantastic shape right now.Greens are fast and pure. Staff is incredibly welcoming and professional.Great range with both mat and grass options, which helps for warm or cold weather practice. Best value public golf in STL.
