Amazing Golf Course

My husband and I have played this course several times over the last 4 years. We love the course and find it challenging!! The staff are super nice and there is a very nice practice area. It is easy to call and book a tee time. Here is the problem---------- SLOW PLAY. The members are resistant (that is being polite) to let anyone play through. They have kids hitting, plus groups seem to stand around- surprised that it is their turn to hit. Hard to watch as you sit behind them for 18 holes! We watched a group of four older gentlemen, in 5 carts drive in and out of the trees, 50 yards in front of us for a good 15 minutes, looking for a lost ball. We made a joke between us that we should have driven up and gave them a sleeve!!! For us, at this point, we are sorry to say- we are done! We have even had the pro shop send us out a little early- between groups- when there is an opening to help since we were a two-some and able to play faster. But that seemed to be a recipe for disaster as we ended up stuck behind slow groups we eventually caught. Very disappointing experiences there!

The course was nice and well maintained. The tremendous downside is the gnats THAT ARE EVERYWHERE!!!! This made the round unbearable! The people are aware of it and seem to not care. I most likely will not be back. Too much money for this experience.
