We attended the Kaines Klassic in 2019 and it was an experience that we will remember for a long time to come. The facility is one of a kind. It was once a train station and it still has that vibe throughout the building. The locker rooms were cozy and most importantly, warm. The ice area was amazing. As someone who appreciates history and all things that bring a sense of nostalgia, it was beyond anything Ive ever experienced. The ice was kept cold by the open windows. The zamboni was a couple of guys with shovels and spray bottles. They would scrape off the ice and then shovel the snow out the open windows. Bottles of water were used to fill in any holes in the ice. Honestly, if you are ever invited to attend a hockey event here, do it. It will be cold but the experience is something you will never, ever forget.
