I grew up working at this course in the 90's and early 2000's. Hadn't played it in about 10 years and thought it would be fun to go back and reminisce.I was saddened by the conditions when I arrived. The sad part is it seems to me it's laziness and lack of attention to detail. Bunkers hadn't been edged in what seemed to be forever (and there was grass in them). Greens had enormous dried up bare patches. Tee boxes, fairways and even the greens were overrun by crabgrass. Whoever mowed the greens can't cut a straight line. All these issues point to lack of effort.They need to shut down for a year and fix this place. It's no wonder we were one of about only 5 groups playing on a gorgeous Saturday morning. I'll keep playing the Baltimore County courses that are in 5X better shape for the same money.

Covid has been a lifesaver for this course. Greens look good, better grass seed is used on them. Patches healed nicely. I had a ranger tell me what they have been working on and it was nice to hear they are putting work in. Sand is still dirt or clay...whatever you wanna call it. But overall for a beginners course in good shape.
