I am happy to report there has been significant improvement on the course....still work to do but much progress made....good to see it come back to life....will be a great course soon (they keep the greens fast)..............I used to play here often when it was Indian Creek very often, but is now called Golf At Akorns, AND I COULD NOT BE MORE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE NEW OWNERSHIP. They have taken a hidden jewel and destroyed it. by far the worse condition course I have EVER played, worse than winter conditions...it has not been mowed in over 2 weeks, tee-boxes and greens neither, GIANT 3' diameter holes all over the course NOT MARKED, one green is only half there, on some holes they placed the holes literally on a down-slope (like they have never played gold before). AND ALL OF THIS AT THE MOST EXPENSIVE PRICE I HAVE EVER PAYED THERE. The new owner, Jeff Smith, has also done away with Senior rates, so the fees start at $32. I don't mind paying for golf, but not on a GOAT-RANCH!!!! When I talked to the guy collecting $$ he admitted is was in pitiful shape, that he did not control the prices, that the new owner had ordered lawn mowers but they were still on order, and that he is never around (and calling him was a hassle). But of course there is plenty of action re-building the restaurant and country club portion - but not a single mower to be seen anywhere. And comments like, 'all the Lexington courses are closed so he can charge a premium' do not help me feel any better. I left my number for him to call me to discuss, but of course no response. If this is a glimpse of what is come - NO THANK YOU!!!! If I could rate it zero stars I would
