If you want to swim, do not go here. This pool is not for swimming, it is more of a water amusement center than just a pool. While this certainly is more appealing to many, it isn't so much for me. Overall I'd say the demographic for West Burlington is far younger than any of the other pools in the area. If you're a little kid, or someone a bit older with a few friends, it can be a decent time. Keep in mind though that most of the things available cater more to younger children. Also, the diving boards have been progressively more strictly controlled to a point of being rather slow and boring. Also, from what I've seen and heard, the lifeguards are rather lax when it comes to actually emergencies. They'll police the hell out of the diving boards and anyone wrestling in the shallow end, but if someone starts to drown it seems they're rarely available.
