I was in town for Memorial Day and decided to come hit a few ball's at the range. The guys at the course made me feel at home. Plenty of laughs and the course seems to be in good shape. Very reasonable rates.

Bacon Park Golf Course is a family-friendly golf course for all ages and levels. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate all of your needs. I am very impressed with the care, maintenance, and attention to detail given to the course. It has been renovated and is an original Donald Ross golf course.Everyone is welcome here from the beginner to the seasoned player. Its a great place to find a new friend, see old friends and experience good old fashioned camaraderie. So, come home and play at one of the best golf courses Savannah has to offer.

While in the Savannah area, this was one of my favorite places to play. Well kept grounds, priced fair, well positioned T's and always a great experience with the staff. I would recommend swinging in and playing a round at Bacon Park! It will be on my stop list during my next trip down!

Ive been playing here for a bit now and this course is in the worst shape Ive ever seen it lately. Prepare to putt on concrete and not be rewarded for being in the fairway. Great staff, horrible course. Wont be back.

Great restoration of a Donald Ross course. Pushed up greens remain, with interesting rolls and squared off corners. Good mix of holes. Needs more maintenance and the lack of cart paths means muddy ruts and tracks where they should not go. Greens a bit slow but over all a fun day.

Bacon Park is a hidden gem, the course is in incredible shape, its really a great golf course. Its a Legendary Donald Ross course with his original layout, definitely a must play in Savannah. The service we received was just as legendary as the course is, we really appreciated the staff going above and beyond. I highly recommend Bacon Park for golfers of all ages and levels. We had great day and everything exceeded all of our expectations it was truly a completely different golf experience! Thanks again!

Well designed course that has obviously made capital investments to make it one of the finest courses and facilities in the area. Whatever level of golfer you are you will find this course to be challenging and in great shape. I would recommend this course to tourists and locals alike. You wont be disappointed!

I'm not a golfer but went along with some friends. The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable. Made sure I had everything I needed to have a great first golfing experience. The course is beautiful, especially the Live Oaks with the hanging Spanish Moss. Super cool that it's restored to the original layout from 100 years ago. Love the history.

I've only been golfing for about 6 months. I started out hitting range balls after work on Thursday nights when they light the driving range. The 9 hole course was great while I was still learning the basics and didn't want to worry about holding anyone up. I took a couple of lessons with Gordon which made a HUGE difference in my swing and would recommend to anyone who is learning this game. Very affordable, especially if you take advantage of their specials and twilight rates. Staff is friendly and course is looking better every time I play.

Bacon Park is, and always has been what I would consider to be my home course. I have been a regular customer for at least 30 years; and to be able to watch and enjoy the transformation of this course the past few years has been a treat. The historical layout is a Donald Ross design that gives me a great round with a course that challenges every club. I am a lifelong fan! Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see what's next!

I was in town from florida and found this course to be minimal. Little to no cart path. bunkers were in terrible shape, trash was all over the course, and constantly had people hitting balls very close to us do to the pins and next tees being so close together. bad experience for a first time golf here.

It's rare to get the opportunity to play a Donald Ross designed course and its even rarer to play one for under $100. The redesigned course is a treat, challenging, but not overwhelmingly so with terrifically kept greens. REALLY enjoyed the course and the staff was great. Highly recommended classic gem in the heart of Savannah. Thanks for restoring a part of Old Savannah, OC!

Bacon Park is a course that you can bring family out and enjoy your time playing golf.. The golf pro is 'One of the Best' in the area.. He is very knowledgeable and will improve your game in no time.. Overall a very good experience and not feeling the pressure like at high end private courses..

Bacon Park Golf Course is located in the heart of beautiful Savannah, Georgia. Savannah is full of history and this golf course has played it's part in the long, storied history as well. It is the City of Savannah's only municipal golf course and is an original Donald Ross layout that began in 1926. Today the course is exceptionally managed and has undergone a complete restoration. When you golf here you'll enjoy making the rounds amongst some of Savannah most majestic live oak trees, dripping with the Spanish Moss that our fair city is known for. This course is for all levels of golfers and is enjoyed year round by locals and visitors alike. Savannah has turned out some fine golfers .... many who got their start right here at the ole 'Muny'. My own father and all of my brothers have played many rounds here and they have fond memories and incredible stories that they've enjoyed sharing over the years. You won't find a more enjoyable golfing experience anywhere else in Savannah than at Bacon Park Golf Course!

Great local course! Perfect place to play with a group or by yourself, I always bring family and out of town guests while they're visiting. They have made some fantastic improvements to this challenging, but fun course! Driving range is close by for a quick warm-up before your round too!

Challenging course but it needs some love. Pretty much all of the greens are in bad shape with several patches of dead grass which made putting a headache with the ball jumping around. Fairways were in good shape as were most of the tees (aside from a few). Just seemed a little pricey for the shape of the greens. Also, hole 9 doesn't end anywhere close to the pro shop so make sure you fill your cooler up beforehand.

Bacon Park is one of the finest golfing experiences in the area. Theres no better value for the conditions and service that you get from OC, Fred, Gordon and their team. Its a truly restored Donald Ross course that is always in excellent condition. Whether you golf every day or are just learning, theres no better place than Bacon Park. Their golf carts are really nice too!

I can only relay how much pleasure my son gets out of this course. He was a true novice about golf until a few years ago. Now he has picked up some time to play more often and loves this course (he has played others.) Close to home makes it even more convenient. I've played Bacon Park on and off over the years, mostly because i Live in SC. It's a great layout and more importantly it's been transformed back into the course it was supposed to be. Definitely worth a play and as you do you'll feel why so many call that course home.

I drive by this historical golf course while I'm on the Truman Parkway. It's been so nice to see the beautiful renovation by O.C. Welch! I've seen his generosity towards the community many times over the years, including one evening when he spent 10K on a guitar to benefit the Royce Learning Center. My mouth fell open. :-) We're very luck to have him as a benefactor for the Savannah community, especially his help saving the Bacon Park Golf Course!
