Amazing Golf Course

I played this course for the first time on July 3rd and I will never go back. The service and staff were incredibly rude and one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I showed up 10 minutes EARLY to my tee-time and the first thing out of the manager in the clubhouse was that I 'was late and this was completely unacceptable behavior'. I was also told that I would be playing alone because 'members do not like playing with non-members'. It was the most insulting thing I have heard especially since they new I was a guest trying out a new course for the first time. I felt very uncomfortable over my entire experience. The course itself was in decent shape, but the greens were starting to dry out and turn brown. The pictures online are also very misleading and are not the scenic views you would expect. I quite playing after 6 holes, turned around and left. Overall, this was an absolutely horrible experience and I highly encourage anyone looking to play in the area to find another course such as Regatta Bay. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COURSE AT ALL.

I really enjoyed playing the Santa Rosa course. Played from the blue tees, and thought it was challenging, but with scoring opportunities available. If you are hitting your driver straight, you will have a lot of mid to short irons into the receptive greens. There is just enough water to keep you aware of where you should leave your misses. The greens seemed a little sandy, but rolled perfectly, and stayed on line. The club house and practice facilities were top notch. Only to be matched by the courteous and friendly staff. Can't wait to play there again.
