Amazing Golf Course

I had my wedding reception here last year and while it turned out to be a beautiful day, I was not overall satisfied with Deerwood. I will start by saying the venue itself looks very nice and the view out of the ballroom windows is perfect for a wedding. The pastry chef, Joanne, was very easy to work with and the cake was absolutely delicious, and the food was also very good. The events coordinator Denise, however, was not easy to work with during the planning process. She was not good at communicating, gave us false information on multiple occasions, she was very disorganized and would not always answer my questions. I have since heard from others that they too had a bad experience working with her. We were also disappointed to find that the top layer of our cake had been tossed into a box, unwrapped, and had been smashed against the box and when I said something, I was met with a rude response. I would not recommend having a wedding at this location, at least not while Denise is the events coordinator. I have given a 2 star rating due to Joanne, the quality of the cake, and the view. Also, the wait staff day-of was competent. Florence, in particular, was very helpful and attended to our every need.

Great service wonderful location good food. View of the lake and golf course. Graduation celebration with my brilliant neice, wife and sister. Fabulous evening
