I can't speak for the massages, but the yoga was not my style preference. I've been to many yoga classes, but I don't have all the names of the poses memorized, and several times the instructor would just name a pose but not demonstrate. Transitions between poses were awkward, and there wasn't a lot of instruction or alternative ways to do poses. All in all, I did leave the class very relaxed and loosened up :)

My mother recently attended a yoga class at Big Pine Yoga. She told me about her experience and I was shocked at the instructor, Marylees, unprofessionalism. Apparently my mother was off her mat doing a balancing pose and was told, Are you sweating on my carpet? and Sweat on your own mat. My mother got on her mat and mentioned she does better off the mat. Instructor replied, So? We all do.My mother was humiliated and embarrassed. This was not very yoga-like to command people to stay on their mats. I guess Id be concerned they are not properly disinfecting/cleaning between classes if instructor feels the need to embarrass students who step off their mats. A great yoga instructor makes a student feel at ease and feel welcome. In this case, Marylee fell short of great.
