This is always a great course. Beautiful scenery and an easy drive from the cities if you want to experience country golfing.

It is a nice course to play. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was the thick grass clippings around the fairways and the water hazards needed some cleaning. Have to believe the storms lately in the area and all the covid stuff affected this. Wouldve been great if they wouldve sold a course logo ball. But great scenery and a nice course for the northwoods. Would definitely play it again.

Although Badlands is a fun course, the pace of play continues to get worse. They continue to let groups of more than 4 play together. They have 7 minutes between tee times, REDICULOUS! We had a membership last year but didn't renew because of the slow play. We ended up not playing today because there were still 4 foursomes waiting to tee off 5 minutes before before our scheduled tee time.It will be some time before we give it another try.

Not a bad course bit its easy to get in trouble if you spray the ball. Oh, and the rough is rough, best to stay out of it

Favorite course in the area. Full 18 holes, carts are always clean and work. Good prices for golfing weekdays or weekends. Drink prices are average.

I like this golf course very reasonable to play $26 with a cart. Beautiful Rolling Hills very Scenic Golf Course and challenging. People here are very friendly nice country setting.

A great small town family owned and run course. Elevation changes, mature trees, water and sand hazards, along with a great layout will challenge all levels of golfers. Conditions geared towards pace of play and limiting blow up holes makes this course great for beginners, tournaments, or family outings!If you'd like to play where the staff knows you by name and has your drink of choice waiting before you ask, Badlands is a must try!

Not bad course, stupid policies though. My wife doesn't golf just wanted to ride along and they charged extra to have her ride in the cart with me. Maybe it's just me but charging $8 to have a person ride in a cart when they are not playing is foolish.

Owner was extremely rude. Only played one hole when she came and started yelling. We decided we would rather just leave and they refused to offer a refund. Plenty of other good courses around. Give them your money.

Course is in decent shape for the price but the management is awful and rude. I have had multiple experiences on this course where the owner was looking for any reason to kick you off the course.

Wonderful course! Here is the problem we had, and the reason for only 2 stars. Advertised special on Sat afternoon is 18 holes with cart for $25. Not true. It's 18 holes and half a cart! My friend, his small son and I went on Sat afternoon and we're expecting to pay $50 for 18 holes each and 2 carts only to find out there is an additional fee of $16 for a second cart. Weird, what happened to the special? If we would have made separate tee times we would have got the deal, but since we didn't....oh well. We walked it all. Not only did Badlands not get the addition money from us, they missed out on the approximately $40 we would have spent on drinks has we had carts. We walked it out of spit. They could have cleared up their half cart policy with us, given us the cart and we would have been more clear for next time, but no. Now we have a bitter taste in our mouths....

Family owned, lots of fun, the right price. I'm an 8 handicap and typically perfer longer courses but this one's well laid and allows me to practice my iron and short games. Lots of raised greens and narrowish fairways. Can't beat the family management.

The owners wife extremely rude and not courtoues to anyone or anything. Course overall isn't in bad shape .Being spoken down to and disrespected will make me never go back .I wouldn't recommend anyone looking to have a good experience .

Badlands... more like bad owner. Do not get lost on your way to hole 2 or you will be kicked off the course... $40 down the drain. Owners wife was psychotic.

Really disappointed what has happened to this course. Played here in July and August and course conditions were great. Played today, 9/28, and the greens have gotten really long. Ridiculously slow, not fun. Also, the fairways look like they were moved by a bunch of drunks. Entire areas look unmowed for days, other areas look cut. Maybe they let most of the grounds crew go for the winter. I won't be back until spring.
