One of the most beautiful and challenging courses I will probably ever play. The condition of the course was perfect, and the greens crew deserve a beer or two at the very least! Haha keep it up!

How lucky am I to be a Fore-Caddie through the CaddieNow App at Ballyhack Golf Club... where all golf courses die and go to heaven in my opinion. After being blessed enough to play this course some 20 times as a guest BEFORE becoming a Caddie, I am still amazed at Lester Georges brilliant interpretation of a Scottish Highlands golf course. Although it is links-like in appearance... its best to play this gem through the air... but Mr. George gives u multiple options on just about every shot. I have seen players putt from 50 OFF the green as well as flopping one from the same spot. Fly it long on the green only to have a back stop slope to curve your ball closer than u could if u tried to pinpoint an approach to a false-front green. Good luck on that!... Ive witnessed balls that looked good from the fairway on the approach... only to see it 30 seconds later roll and roll and roll right of the green! If you want to challenge EVERY ASPECT of ur game... do what u can to play this 5-star track in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. And it is wise, if u have never played this course, to have the club hire a Fore-Caddie like myself to show you tee ball sight lines.... (most only known by Members and Caddies)... How to attack these unbelievable green complexes... where not to hit it (and then find it in unreal fescue rough if u do stray one) and expertly read these undulating greens that have multiple Quadrants ... sometimes putting w ur back to the hole... sounds like a famous course in the Georgia Pines maybe? Those who think this course is tricked up have never been to Scotland or Ireland...or Tobacco Road. Save yourself a huge plane fair and come to where Scotch-Irish immigrants thought enough about this land in the late 1700s to call this old farm Ballyhack. They could bury me here if the club would let me! How lucky am I? But what really makes this place special is not just the course... it is the level of service ALL staff members provide those who call Ballyhack my home away from home. From the greens keepers and member services team to the Head Pro and the General Manager... I have never felt more welcome and shown a genuine appreciation for my efforts to help others enjoy their day on the course like the Ballyhack staff... the best in the world!!
