Played 18 at Birkdale today, staff is always attentive and professional. The course is in good shape, fairways are filled in nicely, greens are good as well! Always a favorite to play.

HORRIBLE experience today at Birkdale. On the #1 green and maintenance person refused to quit watering while I was trying to putt. He said, ' I have a lot of greens to water today and I'm not stopping for you or anyone else.' Talked to the manager after my round and he 'thanked me for bringing it to his attention'. Seriously?? That's how you handle a customer service issue? VERY POOR management. I have played this course dozens of times but this was my LAST time.
