A quaint charming hotel nestled in bucolic settings with idyllic views of the mountains and surrounding areas. Truly breath taking views from your window to the rustic locale. It is impossible to put into words how much the vista draws you in and enchants you while you sit by the outside fireplace or the hot tub and are being mesmerized by all that surrounds you. Truly a magical place.

Nice golf course because of the views, but way overpriced for what you are getting. Bunkers need to be totally redone. Should be called pebble beach. No attempt at landscape around tee boxes. Really disappointing.

Severely disappointing!We chose to spend a lot extra on an overnight to take advantage of all the qualities of a well known and rated resort. Upon calling to make a reservation the staff was unsure, a bit confused and told forever to get me a rate. I decided to book online. When we arrived at the equinox it was beautiful. We waited about 8 minutes for a front desk staff member to join and serve us at the front desk. This would be the theme of the night any time we needed anything the staff at the desk was unheard of and out of sight. (I have worked front desk for years in less rated hotels and not being present was absolutely unheard of, so the this amazes me at thisn'luxury'property. .Finally she came out and let us know we would be upgraded from our room with two beds to a ........ king. We have 3 adults staying, so this awkward, and absolutely Not an upgraded just a regular $450 room with one bed instead of two. The room was pretty and comfy but certainly nothing special. However there was someone else's hair all over the shower. Did they clean it at all? We let the front desk know after a wait. And when we returned from dinner...... I assumed they had cleaned it only to find the large part of hair whipped away, and tons more around the faucet handle and the bottom of the tub. So even when we pointed out the shower dirty, they never actually corrected the situation. The host to seat us at dinner was just shy of rude.We decided to have breakfast ordered for in room and the order from asked us to place the form outside our door by 2am. At 1am we doubled checked the info, and placed it outside the door. An hour after it was supposed to arrive, I looked to realize ..... nobody took our order. I have absolutely no idea why they think it is okay to charge this much for a room, with this kind of service. At bare minimum, I expect the price we paid to mean that the room is clean. Twice they missed the mark and i am baffled.Alternatively we stayed at the essex resort over Christmas. It was by and large a better choice, clean, friendly, and much less expensive. Choose a holiday or Hampton inn instead. Not worth it.

The Golf Club at Equinox, 4-1/2 stars, is home to a championship golf course that ranks with some of the best in Vermont. This tree-lined and open parkland layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. A must play if you are in the area. Stay & Play facility where you can rise from your bed in the morning and head straight for the first tee.

Went for our 10th wedding anniversary and it was the perfect pre-Christmas getaway. The pool and spa were a delight, onsite restaurants were cozy and delish. The service was impeccable. We will be back!
