Friendly staff. Delicious food. Service was a bit slow when we went, but otherwise we had a great time. I'll definitely come again.

Hometown look and feel.Good food however... The server was young but very efficient and gracious. We had 11 in our party and arrived at 7 with a reservation.15 minutes after we ordered the server came and said they we out of some things and some in our party had to substitute something else. That happens and it's not a big deal, however, they held all the food until it came out together which made the other food warm, if not cool to the touch for some in the group. Not especially appetising.I had the Grilled Salmon and baked potato and sent the potato back to get reheated, leaving the carrots and salmon to just be warm. Tasted ok but reheated salmon gets dry and hard. The potato came out and was great.I will say this for our server. For being young, maybe 17, she was efficient, helpful and got us 2 deserts for the group to make up for the delay and warm food.I give her 5 stars for effort.Next time, ask about bringing the hot food out for those who's orders are in and then the others will only be a few minutes behind but all will get hot food.It should be a choice by the group not the house. Thanks Dirk's. You have good food, just some training needed by the help. You are awesome!

A few points:1. The delicious clam chowder was served barely warm. It was almost room temperature, so my first taste of Dirk's was negative.2. Our dinner salad and soup was served at the exact same time as our meal. So it was a race to eat our salad before our meal got cold. These need to be served ten minutes before the entree.3. The country gravy with the chicken fried steak was sausage gravy. It would taste much better with country gravy WITHOUT sausage. That's too much meat in each bite.4. The dessert we tried was Deep Fried Zangos. Deep fried bananas, sour cream, and cheesecake. The bananas dont work. They're mushy and a bit sickening. Apples are the way to go. If this was made with apples it would be delicious. With bananas you'll gag a little bit with each taste. We won't be back. Big disappointment.

We just finished a wedding luncheon at Dirks. It was wonderful! The food was very good and when we worried we didnt have enough, they cheerfully made more sandwiches. There was salad served as well and it was great. The cake we had for dessert was delicious. The room was very private for our large group. (We had over 80 people.). We would highly recommend them for a wedding lunch or dinner!
