The course was OK but could have been be if we hadn't got all the rain the days before we played it. Can't wait to play it again when its dry .Very nice staff and a nice pro shop.

Fun little course. Nice little pro shop, and super nice folks running the place. Probably the nicest course in southeast Texas, especially for the money.Things to keep in mind...as this applies to every course in SETX.Almost every golf course in SETX was built on a former rice farm, so when it gets dry the ground becomes hard like concrete and cracks. This means you'll have considerably more roll than you might be used to. Imagine playing on concrete covered in outdoor carpet. When it rains it retains water, and the ground becomes gumbo under the green, which means you may be playing your carry distance with no roll on every shot. The Babe Zaharias Course has a lot of super fun water hazards, play accordingly. You will drive across a very busy road four times for 18 holes, be careful and take your time, just accept that its going to mess with your pace of play, the person behind you will be stuck in the same. The back nine play slower than the front nine. This is probably the most popular course in the Golden Triangle area, so its going to be busy even on a hot summer weekday. Its probably not the best course for a slower player.
