The course is not in the best conditions but like everything you get what you pay for. 7.30 am Sunday tee time for less then 40 $ is quite good. Very short course and you don't play just golf, there is a big 'Treasure hunting' component..... I lost many balls and found many balls, I mean also in the fairways or around the greens too.......Super short PAR 65 course, definitely for those very consistent golfers (clearly not me) who can hit straight and accurate. They have a course challenge with a dollar prize if you do Hole in One at hole 6, I am pretty sure they have cameras on that hole. Nice and friendly staff.

The hardest golf course in Houston. If you want to learn accuracy, go play at heron lakes. Want to learn how to play out the rough, go to heron lakes. Want to talk to genuine people, play at heron lakes. Best, hardest golf course in Texas!

This is a short course which is nice. We finished our round in under four hours. Wouldve finished faster but we spent tons of time looking for balls. The rough is so long! We lost tons of balls on decent shots just because they were a foot or two off the fairway in 3-5 inch rough. Definitely conditions for tour players, a category that I assume most people playing there dont fall under. We asked about it on our way out and they said it is always that way, so we wont be back.
