They should be giving a discount right now for the condition of the fairways.... grass is so thin and sparse, may as well been hitting off of dirt. Greens and staff were nice

This place has improved dramatically over the last 3 months. The fairways are well above average. The greens are slow for what I prefer however they roll true. Yes I think we all can understand its not going to be as good when the budget was probably unlimited with Justin but for 49 bucks It was well worth it. So if you were not happy in the past like me I would suggest u give this courses another chance.

Nice course but could be better. Dead spots in a few fairways and around some greens which I didn't expect on a course with the reputation this one had. I can see all the nice stone work that was put in, but it is all mildew and looks unkempt now, as does alot of the course. Greens are okay, a bit slow for my liking but overall good condition.Clubhouse and bar staff were super nice and the course is solid and well worth coming to play a round on. The worse part is the knats!!! Had an early morning tee time and was harassed for the first 12 holes by the bugs...course is surrounded by woodland and very low lying so there is a ton of standing water....in serious need of drainage work as well as fountains to move the water in their ponds. My personal opinion, Justin Timberlake built a great course that probably cost too much for upkeep in it's current ownership and player ship sadly. I would have loved to play it before it switched hands.

It is a well kept course, that offers lots of challenging holes and great scoring holes too. I look forward to playing it once a year when I come in town.

Greens have been poor this year and the course has become considerably easier over the past five years, so it is overpriced. I realize most people ride carts, I happen to like walking for the exercise and have easily walked this course on weekends before. Today I learned they have a new rule - no walking on weekends because walkers are slow. Interesting that when I do walk, I am always waiting on the carts. I typically walk their course in 3 and half hours except when there is slower play on this course. I work during the week and now there is no option to enjoy golf on the weekend. Sad!!!

I've been coming here every year for about 5 years. The condition of the course has declined but it still has a great layout and beautiful holes. The fairways are not too bad and the greens are great. The tee boxes are rough and the bunkers too. The is one pretty rough bathroom on the course that had no toilet paper and the one on the back nine is locked up tight. No one warned me there was no bathroom- not women friendly. The cart girl came around twice on the front nine but never saw her on the back. I feel that paying $107 for the two of us was over priced. Like I said we made a special trip every year just to golf here...don't think I will again.

Wow, there are some very unduly harsh reviews here. This is an absolutely beautiful place with wonderful scenery and a fun layout. The course right now is in great shape. The greens are beautiful and uniform, even if a bit on the slow side. The practice area is outstanding with loooots of space to hit on fresh grass w balls stacked in pyramids. The dedicated chipping green allows shots from up to 60 yards with well manicured fairway turf. The clubhouse is nice and clean with a pleasant staff and great cart girl on the day I was out. There were many well kept water jugs along the course and nice on course restrooms. There are plenty of tee times available and the value you get for the $ is, I believe, the best in town. Yes, you can Judge Smails it up and find small issues, but folks, to keep up with those 100% one needs a rich pop-star benefactor. EASY 5 stars.

I have played this course regularly since it became Mirimichi about 9 or 10 years ago. Be warned. The website shows a course and fly through that does not exist today. Todays course is substantially inferior and has deteriorated significantly year over year for several years. Fact 1: good news. The greens and aprons are excellent. Fact 2: the traps are largely unraked, many have grass growing in them, you will need to seek relief behind the traps rather than hot out of them. Fact 3: the fairways are thin and much inferior to both many public courses and daily fee courses in Memphis. Fact 4: the fringe areas around the fairways show lack of care and lack of routine maintenance. Fact 5: practice areas, good and bad. The practice tee area is unkept. The golf balls are not even cleaned to hit. The practice green is fine and representative of the course greens. The chipping practice area is fine and typical of apron areas around the greens. Recommendation: the representatives make a lot of weather related and time of year excuses. These are excuses. Do not play this course if you have relied on the website or other past recommendations.

Very nice course and the friendly staff make you feel right at home! The course is challenging for all skill levels and golfers need to be accurate from start to finish on each hole. The greens are lots of fun and birdies are well earned on this course. Definitely will play it again the next time I am in Memphis.

Justin Timberlake clearly held an ambition to create a top-quality, public-access golf facility in his home-town of Memphis. Most of the time this wonderfully natural course is bounded by woodland; only on a small stretch of the back-nine will you see a house or two. As the star golfing attraction in the home of the Blues, Mirimichi is definitely a place to get on your blue-suede golf shoes, tee it up and enjoy one of Tennessee's finest.

I've played it 3 times now and absolutely love this place. So glad to see the prices have come down some since the first time I played it a few years back. Makes it more competitive to the other public courses in the area. Keep it up!

Played here twice on 9/27 and once 9/28. By far the best $80 golf course you may ever play. Course is in great condition, great layout, and the best greens you will never experience in Dallas. They were running 13.5 on the stint meter, while Glen Eagles during the Ryder Cup were running 10.5. This my 2nd time, and is now a yearly guys trip from Dallas. One of those tracks you must experience in your lifetime.

Great golf course. Little Mirimichi is an excellent place to go if you only have an hour or so to hit some balls. Staff was great. I will definitely be playing here again.

If your visiting the Memphis area & are looking for an all around Great round of golf, trust me, don't even bother going anywhere else here. This course has been rated the best 'Public Course In TN' every year since Timberlake built it. Also, If your like me & Practice facilities matter, again, this is where you want to go. Actual ran into a PGA 'Players Affairs' Official on the course, he stated this Course was as good or better than some of the courses they play on Tour! A Little out of the way, but worth every mile of it!

Great golf course but terrible pace of play. 2 hrs 45 min to play front nine on sat am on a hot dry summer day. They did give a 9 hole raincheck but that doesn't help a lot living 3 hrs away. Left disappointed with not enough time to play 18.

Cudos to Justin! Mirimichi is a great course. We played it July 28th 2012 and it was in very good shape. Had a 12 noon tee time and paid a twilight fee of $57+tax which is a value for a golf course of this caliber. The layout has no tricked up holes but be aware most of the greens are elevated and very well protected. Fairways are fairly generous and also in great shape. Aside from the pace of play this course has privet club quality.

I understand that building and sustaining a golf course for JT might not have been his best investment.... that being said. This was my go-to golf course in the city, well worth driving 20 minutes to play and paying $80 to enjoy. Sadly this beautiful course has seen better days. After playing this past weekend for the first time since last year I noticed something isn't right. Here are a few of my observations:1. The Range: Seeing weeds grow across the entire target area was strange. The 3 foot high weed growing up the pin at the green I was aiming at was an early sign that something is off.2. The entire beauty of Mirimichi was well done through the idea that the local grasses take over the deep rough and hazards leaving the pristine fairways, greens, tee boxes traps and various sand areas strong. Sadly tees boxes, sand areas are struggling. After hitting the ball off dirt in a few sandtraps narrowly avoiding the weeds in traps, I knew this wasn' the Mirimichi of old.3. Golf carts: One of the beauties of Mirimichi is that each cart was perfectly prepared with GPS, small hand towels, environmentally friendly tees, etc. too make sure your round was enjoyable. When I pulled out on four bald tires and a non-functioning GPS unit, I knew this was a different experience. When our cart had a blowout on hole 14 and the GPS didn't allow us to call the pro-shop for help we ditched it and hoofed it in through the rain.4. Cost: All of the above and still we paid $80 which for the practice facility and course used to be the best deal in town, but now will make you think that one of the local intown public courses might be a better deal at half the price.5. Hope: I have zero doubt that Mirimichi might be caught up in a rain storm and is fighting staffing issues or any other number of struggles that often plague golf courses. I desperately hope that the course will be back to its old standard for the city making me want to play more and proud to call it my home course. Greg King the club pro is a great teacher and I have no doubt that if possible he will righten the ship.

Played golf at Mirimichi on November 10, 2013. This was the second time I've played it. This most recent experience was a bit disappointing compared to the first time, which was a couple years ago. November 10th was a beautiful day and temps were near 70 degrees. The best thing about the course are the greens. They are immaculate and very fast. Some things that need improvement: It was almost impossible to putt on the putting green before the round due to the million leaves that were on the surface. For a course like this, you would think that maintenance staff would blow off the putting green each day during this time of year. I also was a little surprised that there was not a staff member out front to cart golf bags before and after the round. I was very disappointed in the selection of items in the pro shop. I wanted to purchase a new glove prior to my round and they only had callaway products. They seem to be an exclusive callaway dealer when it comes to golf gloves. At the turn, we went to the club house to grab a quick snack and a beverage and when we walked inside there was no one to be found to assist us, I mean NO ONE. We could have walked out with anything we wanted. We ended up just walking out because we couldn't get service. On top of that there was no beverage cart on the course that day for some reason. Plus there were several times during our round when staff members would come flying by in golf carts on their way somewhere and not even think of stopping until a member of our group had played their shot. No COURTESY or RESPECT for the golfers paying to play. Overall the course was in ok shape but not what it was when it first opened. There are alot of thin areas on the course and absolutely no rough to speak of. If I would not have had a gift card that I needed to use I would not have wasted my time driving to Mirimichi. Plus when I play at a place like Mirimichi I would expect better service all the way around. We always bring 8 players when we play here but for me personally this will be the last time I drive 1 1/2 hours to play here. There are a multitude of better courses for less money around.

What used to be an affordable decent course in Big Creek, is now a fantastic course with natural beauty and plenty of challenges in Mirimichi. This immediately became one of my favorite public courses in the Memphis area (along with Fair Oaks in Oakland). I can't wait to go back to this gem
