I play several courses around the area and there are two that I like the best. Chester and Tega Cay. If you get on the Tega Cay email blast they have some great deals. Around $32 for a round of golf midweek/afternoon with cart on the Pines/Grande View course. You can't beat that. It's a beautiful course and the greens are in great shape right now. This is my go to course. It's challenging but fair. You want to keep your ball in the fairways for sure. If you do miss a lot of fairways be prepared to lose some balls. All in all a great course and one of my favorites to play.

Well its pretty here. The problem we are having today is we are playing in the tournament. They ran out of carts. We asked if we can get one from the players coming in. They said no they are keeping them from players later in the day. How unprofessional!! Dont sign up for tournaments at this course. They do not care about you at all. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

*Review for The Cove* If youve ever played the cove, you shouldnt be surprised by this review. Its basically a discount 9 hole course that is typically not very well maintained and isnt the most attractive course. You go here to play a cheap 9 holes of golf (about $20pp). And for the employee who rudely requested us to play faster when there was no one directly behind us, please realize that its The Cove and not the place to be harassing people who pay to play there. We played 9 holes in 2 hrs and 15 min, which is about exactly the pace youd play a normal course.

This review is for The Cove (the 9 hole course)... okay is the best word I could think of to describe the experience. Im giving 4 stars because its very well priced and the overall facilities are nice. The course was in decent shape, not the best but not the worst either. You end up playing next to a water treatment plant or something for several holes which is less than scenic to say the least. But my real negative takeaway was the jerk monitoring the pace of play for the course... he came over to tell our group of 4 that we were playing too slowly yet the group of 2 behind us apparently was no where in sight. We politely offered to let them play through if they had an issue, which was declined. We were finished in well under 2 hours - not sure what the expectation is at Tega Cay but anywhere else thats more than reasonable. Didnt appreciate the warning when it wasnt warranted. Otherwise it was an alright experience.
