First time playing here. Course was in great condition ... tees, fairways, rough, bunkers and greens .... all in very good shape. Lots of variety; the course layout is very nice. Got an afternoon rate of $39 which makes this a very good value. If there is one critique it would be for the players to do a better job of fixing pitch marks on the green. Did not have any interfere with our putting, but the lack of consideration isn't good for the greens or for following players. Looking forward to playing Carolina Lakes again soon.

Played here for the first time yesterday evening. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the course was in great shape! Definitely will be coming back soon.

2.5 starsOne of the better courses in the area with usually well kept greens that can sometimes get shaggy in the hot summer months. However, one of the worst places to do training or practice. Its the only course Ive ever heard of that not only closes for picking, but closes multiple times a day for 1-2 hours a piece. Moreover, today they closed the range an hour earlier than originally posted and provided about 30 min of heads up about the change; which they did by simply marking the sign at the entrance. Its really hard to find a range that isnt actively picking while the range is live; thereby ensuring ball availability. Great course but keep these constraints in mind. Call ahead if its a factor and know they can suddenly change the closure times (which can be due to a lack of balls but still significantly limits the planning done by a paying customer).
