4.6 hidden gem.Mother nature should cooperate for 5 stars.Once the greens fully heal in a 1.5 weeks it will be awesome.Its a very clean and well kept course.Great clubhouse and pro shop has everything so much cheaper than other courses.Snack bar would offer more if covid wasn't going on but golfers were complaining about no beverage cart in operation.

Course is in good shape. Greens seem to have been aerated in the last two weeks, but other than that it's a great value. Club house staff super nice. Campground is ok, but pretty far away from the office/swimming area.

Campground host was great and he even helped us back into the site. Bathhouse was ok but showers could have been cleaned better. Nice views of the lake and good fishing.

The cabin was amazing! Very comfortable with plenty of space. There was a twin bed and bunk beds in the bedroom with a queen sized stow away bed in the living room. They looked newly renovated. It was a short walk to the lake and all of the trails at the park were very easy to walk, even with a jogging stroller and a one year old. We absolutely loved this park and cant wait to come back.

Played today. Golf course in great shape. Staff is very friendly. Beware a lot of sandtraps but the course. Is great. Will play there again and again.

Not bad pretty quiet would be nice if they would create a better shore side fishing areas around the lake and more areas around lake to park so you could get to them so it wasnt so crowded around shore line

The boardwalk and spillway are great. We saw a bunch of small bass swimming around last time we were there.

One of my favorite state parks. It's small, quiet, and well - maintained. Beautiful lake and creek to paddle. Nice hiking trail. Great mountain biking

Such a peaceful and relaxing place! Not too many campsites to make it crowded. We had a site right on the lake. It was a short walk to the dam and boardwalk. The lake is beautiful and the colorful fall trees reflected in the mirror smooth water. The campground was clean and the bathhouse was well maintained. The park staff is friendly and very helpful!We'll be bringing our canoe for our next visit.

Personally I really like this park. Picnic tables, swings for adults, boat rentals, golfing with golf carts, playground and so much more. Cabins are beautiful and the price isn't bad either for 4 people. 3 hiking trail. Bring the family and a picnic and have a blast. Oh wait don't forget to check out the goodies in the office.

Played the golf course today. Greens, fairways and tee boxes were in great shape. Some of my partners complained about the traps but I had no issues. Rough was higher than it should be for a non tournament course but I would play it again in a heartbeat. Worth the drive.

We played the golf course, but the entire grounds are immaculate. The park is a great place to visit. The campground is very clean and the lake is incredible. It is a couple of hours from the Charlotte area, but great for a full day trip.

Found this park when looking for a half way meeting place with family. Upon visiting, it is surprisingly nice. The swimming area is well cared for and there are plenty of shade trees. The trails are decent to walk but nothing exciting. There is also a golf course there that appeared to be quite popular.

Hands down one of the best places I've been in my life. And I've been to alot of places. I suggest, strongly suggest you visit here. And bring everyone and anyone you know with you. And kayak the entire lake. You will not be disappointed.

First time there, I live in Pittsburgh PA, we don't have beautiful parks like that here. I was surprised not to see homeless people and needles laying around. I'm ready to move to south Carolina, get away from this trash here up north

Love this kayaking destination. If you go dont miss kayaking through the cypress swamp all the way back. It is beautiful.

In the summer, we stay at the lake. We love both the grassy, shady areas and the sandy shoreline. We live in RichCo, so the drive is short and the fun days we spend laughing and enjoying the lake life are long! The camp staff are always friendly and helpful.

Nice campground with super clean bathrooms. For first timers, it's a little tricky to find entrance. Long Walk to beach from campground. No ice or bait at office.

Love the fact that there is shade for the old am be young to take a rest from the sun after taking a dip in the cool water it makes a wonderful family outing. Also enjoy having three use of picnic tables and grill.The park ranger was so polite and helpful. We've made it a family tradition to spend the 4th at the lake

Beautiful park with plenty to do. Rent a canoe, take a hike, swimming, playground. They have a gift shop and even loaner fishing equipment so you can give that a go too. We just love it.

I love the park, been going since I was kid. Great to get out the house with the kids. On the weekend plenty busy lots of kids for your kids to enjoy.
