This is an excellent golf course very well laid out challenging but not unfair and almost always in good condition.

Ryan, the head Professional is a great man to work with. He is an asset to the company. Always makes 5ime to answer questions and will give advice when asked. Ryan and Crescent are great together. That is why I like to play Crescent +

Great course! Fun to play and always in good shape. Super nice staff that is very accommodating. My favorite course to play in the area. I come off the island just to play this course. By far the best deal compared to the courses on the island. Got another tee time booked for Thursday!

Wow! This is the second time I have played at this course and it has amazed me both times. This course is quite challenging especially because of perfectly placed bunkers and water. The views of the wildlife areas are breathtaking. Well worth the short drive from Hilton Head Island.

Located three miles west of the bridge to Hilton Head, the Arnold Palmer Design Group has created a Lowcountry masterpiece in Crescent Pointe. This Arnold Palmer signature course sits on a beautiful piece of property and highlights the beauty of its surroundings. As with most Palmer courses, Crescent Pointe offers generous fairways, yet challenging approaches to elevated, undulating greens. As you make your way around the course and through the rolling terrain Mr. Palmer created, youll pass strands of centuries-old oaks, pines and magnolias. Journey through the wetlands and youre privy to some amazing views of the area. But enough of this, its time to focus on golf!Water is present but not necessarily in play on 16 of the 18 holes with the par 4 18th being the lone exception. In addition to the water that dots the landscape, youll find a lot of sand; in fact, in areas where grass was hard to grow, they simply replaced it with sand. Youll find a number of massive waste bunkers and beach bunkers, which butt up against the water and while they create great aesthetics, they can wreak havoc on your scorecard. Where the water or trees do not form the border of a hole the sand does. When I think back on my round at Crescent Pointe, several holes come to mind. The first hole is a fairly straight forward par 4, that is if you dont pay attention to the large waste bunker on the left off the tee or the pond you must fly on the left side on approach. The hole plays 363 yards from the White Tees and is best played with a drive up the right side of the fairway. This takes the water next to the green somewhat out of play, especially with a right pin placement. The green is large, two-tiered and features a lot of undulation. Number 1 is a fair but challenging starting hole and sets the stage for the rest of your round.Number 3 is a fairly short par 5 of 471 yards. Theres a marsh area that crosses the fairway about 300 yards out, so bombs away! A good tee shot will leave you with a decision to make; I say go for it because there isnt a lot of trouble up near the green other than sand short of the green. This is a hole where you can easily gain a stroke on your playing partners.Number 6 was my favorite hole, a par 5 that plays 465 yards from the White Tees to an island green. For long ball hitters who can hit a long drive up the right side and avoid the waste bunker and marsh, they can have a go at the green in two. The rest of us will find solace in the left side of the fairway. A short layup shot followed by a pitch shot over water to the island, two putts, par. Simple!Although Number 18 has the distinction of being the only hole with no water; it makes up for that with sand. Its everywhere off the tee and definitely in play if you dont hit the narrow fairway. From the White Tees, it plays 387 yards and the bunker on the right can easily be cleared with a good drive. From there youre looking at an approach shot into a long, narrow green framed by bunkers on either side and behind. Now its time to head inside to One Hot Mamas!Last Word: Rarely does a daily fee golfer have the opportunity to experience expansive marsh views and, in this case unprecedented views of scenic Colleton River; that is something usually reserved for members of private clubs. Holes 17 and 18 offer up such views. As for the golf course, youll need to think your way around. While many fairways offer the opportunity to go for broke off the tee, youll need to think through the layup and pitch shots if you want to play well here. More than likely, youll hit every club in the bag. That said the course is very player-friendly and challenging. Something else I found interesting were the elevated greens, something you dont often see on a course that sits at just above sea level.

Played here on a Thursday in mid March. Conditions were great tee to green. The layout is awesome and you will most likely use every club in the bag. It's also a pretty course and we saw more wildlife here than any other course we played while in the area. I'd definitely recommend it and would look to play it again.

What a way to ruin a vacation. Poorly run. 5 hour and 5 minute round. Hit the ball and wait... I finally called on hole 11 to ask for a ranger to an apology with no change. My cart ran out of power. Arnold Palmer would be embarrassed. Very disappointing.

Played course on 11/31/18 with buddies from Toronto, Ontario. The staff were friendly and course was in very good condition for late November play. The greens were consistent, but none of us putted well, not sure if it was hole placement or we're not that good. It definitely challenges the golfer and rewards accurate shot placement. We would definitely play this course again, but ensure you're warmed up and ready to play!

Challenging course that has improving fairways and greens... maintenance team has done a great job in very warm, humid weather over the past 2 weeks.

Crescent Point commands an impressive reputation with both local and visiting golfers alike. The Club's own literature says: This Arnold Palmer designed signature course will take your breath away! Spectacular marsh views. Magnificent, century-old oaks, pines and blossoming magnolias. Dramatic white-sand 'beach bunkers' that cascade down to the water's edge.

Wow. Played here for first time yesterday. Visiting from UK. WHAT A TOTALLY FAB COURSE. Very challenging. Lots of beautiful water holes, scenery exceptional, fairways, tees and greens all in immaculate condition. Starter very friendly and great tips . Plenty of drinking water stops and restrooms. 17 th fairway views to die for. Already booked a second game. Can highly recommend this course, good value.

The course was nice and in good condition, especially considering all the rain. It was challenging enough for the casual player, but may seem easy for a more experienced player. The club house was nice and staff were very friendly. That said, it had a very limited bar and the food options were pretty slim. Overall we were pleased. Our biggest disappointment was the lack of a refreshment cart - it was 95 and all there was to drink was the occasional cooler of chilled water at the tee boxes...

May be a four star at some point throughout the year. As of July 2016 it is playing like a two star at best. Greens are burnt, long and heavily sanded. Once the greens come back I will be back. Until then I will be sticking to the true rolling greens around the area.

Tight little course that challeges you at every corner. GPS on carts just gives yardages, would have been better if it gave a better view of the hazards out ahead for first timers. Would definitely like to replay round after seeing the course.

The course was in terrible condition. Landscaping was all overgrown, fairways were mostly dirt on the front 9. Tee boxes were mainly hard sand. Very disappointing for the price we paid.

At this point in time I would not recommend Crescent Pointe Golf Club - the greens were in very bad condition - we played June 22, 2015 - I am an 8 handicap and my son played high school golf very disappointed
