Awesome little place! We stopped in on a child afternoon after braving the October winds at Haystack. We were glad we stopped! We learned a lot, it was warm and dry, and they had an amazing display of local artists' work in the back.

The exhibit explains in an enjoyable, detailed way, the history of cannon beach while including in the history it's link to the wider world. The museum is clean and organized comfortably to walk through while taking in the pictures, audio, and descriptions that present a history of cannon beach and the area that will liven up appreciation for both locals and pioneers to the area.

Great local museum! It's free with a recommended donation of $3. It goes over a very in depth history of the town! Starting with the first natives, to first settlers, and even going into how major events from around the world affected the area. If you have never been to Cannon Beach this is definitely a stop that needs to happen.

This little museum was a delightful surprise. Cleverly presented the history of Cannon Beach as it related to the rest of the world. We enjoyed our visit very much. The only small quibble was that it was exceedingly warm in the building and made us rush to get out and cool off.
