Very positive experience. My wife & I have now bought equipment there, and have also taken a lesson there. We are both very satisfied with their inventory, their store staff, and the lesson in Kiteboarding that we received at Kitty Hawk Kites Kiteboarding School. We are still very new to Kiteboarding and were looking to take a lesson while on vacation in OBX this year, and ended up settling on Kitty Hawk Kites Kiteboarding School, and are very glad we did. Our instructor, Sam, was very knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. Our impression of Sam is that you cannot possibly ask for more in an instructor than the level of expert input and professional assistance we received from him. Sam is an excellent instructor. If you can schedule with him, consider yourself lucky to get him as your instructor.We had a semi-private lesson, which while out on the water, caused Sam to have to shuttle between the two of us best he could, and he did a fabulous job at it even though two newbies is a lot to handle! Sam was very accommodating, patient, and attentive to our individual needs. We hope to be back for more next year, and will be requesting private lessons with Sam if he is available. Next year though, we intend to take private lessons rather than semi-private because, as Sam advised us (and we agree), it is better to get the individual one-on-one attention when you are still as new to the sport as we are, than to require that your instructor divide his time & attention for the duration of the lesson period. That being said however, we are also both very grateful that our initial request for a semi-private lesson was accommodated because of how it helped us defer the cost of private lessons until we both had a chance to experience what taking a lesson there was like in the first place. We now hope to continue private lessons at Kitty Hawk Kites Kiteboarding School whenever we are in OBX, until we are both riding wild & free without need for further instruction! :D Overall my wife & I had a very positive experience there, and Kitty Hawk Kites Kiteboarding School comes highly recommended from us both whether for lessons or for gear/advice, etc. Thanks for being there Kitty Hawk Kites Kiteboarding School, we hope to see you again in 2020.
