Amazing Golf Course

After being prompted to make a reservation by email and calling several times throughout the day, my husband and I tried to go by the club for a date night. We were (blatantly) ignored by several employees and finally spoke with a few to try and work us in. As we were just a couple trying to have a nice meal at the club where we own a full membership, we did not think this was too daunting of a task. There were several attempts to try and find a manager which took quite some time. We then heard an awful excuse that the kitchen was backed up and then was apparently closed over the 30 minute duration that we were standing there. The staff had asked the KITCHEN if they thought they could serve us. What club staff with any kind of management / leadership raises these types of questions when a full member is waiting to have a meal??? We could have been sat and/or given menus and probably even eaten in the time it took for any of this. We will not even consider going back to this place after this terrible experience.

Visited Horizons several times over course of 2 weeks and the food was good. Cannot say the same for Palms and Terrace which took almost 2 hours to get our food. Pool was fun with friendly staff making the most out of difficult pandemic rules.

Beautiful venue if you're on the island.

My family and I have been coming to BHI for the last 7 years. The Bald Head Island Club has always been lackluster when it comes to food. Each year I find myself more and more disappointed, so I shouldnt ever be surprised with the quality of food and service. Slow and dismal at best. However, this year takes the cake. It was my husbands 50th birthday. I had called about a month in advance to let them know I wanted to do something special. A simple dessert with a candle in it, which they conveyed several times - even the night of when we checked in - that they could make happen, no problem. Sadly, turns out they couldnt execute even at the most basic level. No small dessert... no nothing. Just the same ole stale food and subpar service. And at 9:30 a manager wasnt even on duty so that I could express my dismay. Poor service. Poor food. Bottom-line - head to Mojos or Delfina. You will be much happier!!

Edited we are here at Horizons amazing food and service..more casual and one on one service seems great...5 stars for them. Bald head island club -Food is ok ..high end but prepared off season to number of customers. Off season good service has always been slow and bad cause they get 20 percent tip no matter what. Inside is high end reserved. Used to love the peli, horizons was delayed but we will catch it in September...to try all the new amenities. HORIZONS IS AWESOME. UPDATED
