I would go lower, but the staff and the PA are very helpful and very willing to listen to what the patient says. I trust the PA and the nurses. I can't speak for the psychiatrist, but I think he wants to help people too, I only saw him once.Where I take issue is the head Dr. She basically told me, before my well woman check, that I wasn't welcome with my Type 1 diabetes unless I was willing to locate all my business with that to an endocrinologist. She gave a 30 minute rant that left me bawling and feeling attacked, and insinuated that I got the PA in trouble because I had an issue with the endo they DID refer me to(he ended up being a sexist jerk and I refused to see that particular person again). Their policy is that if you have a chronic illness, even if you can/have managed it without a lot of medical interference, that you MUST see a specialist in ABQ to micromanage your illness. This policy was NOT announced to me on my first appointment, and I have managed my diabetes with a general practitioner just fine. I feel like the policy was not well presented to the PA either, and that the PA was set up for a bad situation.Go for the nurses, take the Dr with a grain of salt, then move over to the PA, and heaven help your wallet and your sanity of you are chronically ill.

Seems disorganized. Small town doctor, very limited in what she will do. Not a very good bed side manner. Staff very nice, but they don't follow through with simple requests many times. Could be better considering technology and services available to them. Small town shouldn't be used as an excuse anymore. Should stand out.
