It is a beautiful course with many beautiful Northern Michigan views. Holes 9 and 11 can't be beat with the elevation drop of both par 3's. There are many other notable holes BUT for the price of $80-ish per person, the course (especially most tee boxes) could certainly be in better shape. I'm not sure that a price in the $80 range is justifiable for the course in that condition. I appreciate the hard work that goes into preparing that course everyday, but there are certain things that definitely need to be worked on that somewhat devalue the course.
If you do decide to play a round there, do not let the course condition ruin the experience of the views and sights of the course. Go for each pin and have a wonderful round of golf at this challenging course. Good luck!

This is a strong contender for 'most underrated course in Michigan' (up there with Pilgrim's Run). Beautiful terrain, some of the best greens in the state, and some great holes. It's unfortunate that this course never shows up in any of the state rankings--it's better than most of the highly rated public courses.

I've been playing golf in the Northern Michigan area for year's and I have to say that I personally feel like this is the most underrated golf course in the area. The course is always in great shape and it's challenging. Tons of elevation change and the views here are amazing. Time it right and you can sneak a couple of cherries from the tree's. I love this place so much I sprung for a membership this year. It's a great deal and I don't regret pulling the trigger on it. Keep up the great work Bahle!
