Weekday afternoon rate was $42. A little high for this course. Overall, this was a very nice nice old world Donald Ross course. Tight fairways and small green. Course was in pretty good shape. Greens rolled true. If if was just the course, I could play it every day. The issue begins there. The course is now available for public golf. The lady running the pro shop was less than polite. This course is semi-private. The members (well at least 3 of them) were less receptive to non members. We had a foresome and played in 3:50 . The 3 members called the ranger for slow play. The ranger (good for him) stated that we were well within time but the member like to play in 3 hours. When asked if they would like to play through, he stated 'no'. We stoped on the next tee and made them play through. No other issue after that. Long story short is that if this course wants to make it semi-private, they better make the public feel more welcome. Monroe isn't booming........
