Nice course and kind staff. A couple really pretty holes and lots of mature trees. Feels like a really spacious area. Quite a bit of water and variety in the holes. Not an easy course but still enjoyable as a beginner. I wish there were more bathrooms and those they have certainly need some TLC. This course was also fairly well kept and I imagine it is pretty dry even in the wetter months.

The name is Sycamore Hills Gulf Club, and I went to a wine tasting with food pairing. I have to say it was excellent. The view was breath taking. The food was good. The chicken piccata was beyond words. The Moscato berry tiramisu made me a believer in the power of dessert. The staff and the manager did a wonderful job. I can't wait to attend another event there.

Course in decent shape but customer service was awful. I payed for 18 and because the groups in front of me were playing so slow I wasnt able to play the back 9 so I asked for a rain check for the back and they refused because it was not raining so I ended up playing 9 for the price of 18. Also the group behind me kept hitting up on me and there were no rangers driving around to regulate it.

Came here for a wedding on the golf course. I can't believe how beautiful it was. The reception was amazingly beautiful. Food was awesome.

Pretty good course, cheap but not so cheap that quality is lacking.

The mow lines are terrible, there are dead trees standing, the grass type is inconsistent and the water hazards, present in every hole are nothing more than a slowly moving mud puddle. If you hit a ball in one it is gone, the water is too opaque to see the ball even if barely submerged.

We usually play this old course once a year for old times sake. Decent course, plays long in some spots, short in others. Plenty of room to spray the ball around. My major complaint is that we teed off about quarter after 9 in the morning, and I guess this course does not cut their greens everyday because every single green was covered in Dew and it was basically like putting through water on every hole. Even by the 18th green we were still seeing rooster tails on the putts. Takes away a lot from the experience.

Stay in the fairway and you'll play a decent round. I love fast greens, and they were plenty fast today. Nice course!

Affordable, reasonably well kept, and polite staff. The greens are respectable, carts, coolers, and facilities are well kept. The clubhouse has a dated look, but appeals to those who like a bit of nostalgia. They often have specials for 18 holes and cart available through GroupGolfer and Groupon, so be sure to check for them. This course is highly susceptible to bouts of bad weather, when rain totals for the month are high, a few holes on the back end of the course can become seriously flooded.

I really liked this course. Played at the end of October 2013 and the greens were awesome. Fairly fast and rolled true. Many of the greens surrounded by sloped grass cut short so makes the greens a bit harder to hit without over punishing you. The layout itself was pretty straight forward and somewhat short in places though a couple holes had funky tree layouts offering major risk/reward for going driver. most holes are pretty open to each other allowing play from other fairways should you hit an errant tee shot. Minimal staff this time of year but they were super nice and rates were great.
