Let's just say I've grown up on this course. I first started playing with my Grandpa Shorty when I was 7 or 8 years old. Now the minimum age is 9 to play. I worked for Scotty multiple times over the years. He's the best, and could never be duplicated. I've worked at 7 different golf courses over the years while moving around the state's, and Lockport was by far, the best course to work on and for. I'm now driving 40 miles to play here, but the drive doesn't bother me. This course is home. I've played with many friends and family here over the years. Now I'm bringing my own boys to play, so they can also grow up on this beautiful course. When Scotty decides to retire, I hope he understands that he will be missed. His dedication as the Course Superintendant surpasses anyone's dedication to their own yard. When Scotty decides to hang up his hat, I hope the board would have already found a replacement to 'train' under him, so they too might understand what is required to maintain this gem of a course. Thank you Scott.
