Great layout. Par 3 #15 is amazing from the black tees. Course shows its age, but greens in good condition. A definite replay for us.

Beautiful golf course in the mountains. In good condition with very little water but quite a few sand/clay traps. Expect a very hilly terrain and lots of elevated tee shots. Not very busy, friendly & courteous staff that remembers your name!

This course is great. Beautiful scenery and gorgeous views. Well kept and friendly. I personally do not golf and I still love to come here because I love to ride in the golf cart and just enjoy the surroundings. There are a couple of holes that are on the side of the mountain and it is very cool! There are a couple of downfalls however. One thing is that there are no ball washers. There are no cart girls or anyone going around selling drinks or snacks. The grass is short and kept but not top notch. The greens look good. The grass was a bit choppy and uneven in a few of the fairways the last time we were there. Overall great experience and a great day.

First time I've ever said this about a golf course...cart paths are atrocious. That's why most everybody rides the fairways. There is also a lot of soil erosion going on everywhere and grass won't grow in these spots.The potential is there to get back to what I'm sure it once was. Nice views on several holes. Challenging layout, greens/fringes are good. I'd go back once they did some work out there but not any sooner.

Breakfast at the clubhouse was delicious. The chef Clay was great! Get some energy before you hit the links. Serving Wednesday through Sunday beginning at around 8:30-9:00.

The layout of the course is mountain golf at its best. The signature holes are especially good stand outs. Landscaping with colorful plants and flowers at most tee boxes added to the experience. The course is well maintained with traps and greens both in very good condition. The staff was knowledgeable and willing to answer questions.

This used to be one of the premier courses in N Ga but its in rough shape. Fairways are in horrible shape, tee boxes are rough, greens are ok. Charge for a 5 star to play a $25 course. Very disappointing. The only reason we came to Helen was to play golf. We played Butternut the day before and Old Toccoa Farm the day after, both were excellent.

Fun. Beautiful scenery.. course needs work to get up to par..ha ha, pun intended...but really it's not even close to Myrtle Beach or Pensacola standards. But it should be!! $$

I was only there to play golf, but booking the round/picking up the cart/return of the cart, everything was very convenient. The course itself is in very good condition, the carts are well equipped (maps, GPS and even USB charging possibility). It was a lot of fun to play and an amazing experience.

Played in a tournament here the end of September. The greens were fantastic. The best i have ever seen them. They also had some speed which was even better. Looks like they are on the right track. Bunkers and still some bare areas need work but it is hard to do it all at one time. When the greens are this good it makes it easy to look over some off the other things that need work. Course fairways were great and it is very scenic. Be sure you give this a play if you are close or even if you have to drive. With fall here the leaf colors will make even better. Course info and knowledge is very important on several holes so ask or get a yardage book. Dont miss this one. Have fun.

Many fantastic views of the north Georgia mountains. Challenging fairways which, for the most part, are in good shape; several rough patches can be improved. Greens played well. Kudos for having in cart course GPS. Friendly staff in clubhouse. However...many bunkers need to be reworked, both fairway & greenside; rocks removed, sand replenished. Cart paths in pretty bad shape. 'Second cuts' along fairways & bordering greens (yeah, I should keep the ball in the short grass) mostly overgrown. Several on course directional signs between holes were misleading or missing altogether. Overall, Innsbruck has a ton of potential; it can be an exceptional course, a jewel in the mountains of northeast Georgia. The unusually heavy rains this year have had an effect on this track, but improved course maintenance will make Innsbruck one of Georgia's premier golf courses.

2 years ago I rated this course at 4 stars. This used to be one of my favorites, but it just isn't what it was last year and the year before. I played there with a friend about a month ago. It was 40.00 each to play at 3:30pm on a Wednesday. The greens weren't as good as they used to be. They are much firmer now. They used to be the best greens in the business, but now they are only average. The awesome layout, awesome greens, and the affordable rates were the 3 reasons why this used to be one of my favorites. Now it's only the layout that I care for. The fairways, tee boxes, and cart paths are still terrible. They do have good carts though. They come equipped with an LCD touch screen that has GPS, maps, score keeping, etc. They have spent a ton of money on the carts, clubhouse, and greens, but they can't seem to afford a few loads of top soil and sod, which is what they need the most. This place went from one of my favorites, to my least favorite course in northeast ga, in only a 1 year period. Everyone I have talked to lately are saying the same things. Hopefully they get the point soon. I miss the course, but I'm definitely not returning until I get word that things have changed back to what it used to be.Summary:- The price is much higher than average, compared to other local courses.- The course quality is much lower than average, compared to other local courses.- The course layout is fun and challenging.- Good carts.- Poorly managed.

This review is purely for the golf course which I played recently as part of an organized golf association event.With respect to the course itself, I feel it is certainly worth playing if you are in the area. It was still very early in the season when I played and that needs to be taken into account in my review. I found several of the holes to be very narrow and in some cases the greens were a little on the unfair side - almost impossible to stop the ball on downhill putts, even at this time of year. The signature Par 3 on the back nine is almost worth the trip alone but overall, I certainly felt satisfied with the course and very happy I made the drive up from North Atlanta to play in the event. As you would expect given its location, the scenery is absolutely spectacular and I found the staff hospitality to be exceptional from the guy at the gatehouse to the Club Pro and everyone else in between. We were made to feel extremely welcome at all times.

Fairways were very dry and burned. Cart paths are bumpy at best. Free range balls helped a little but I have played many better courses priced under this one. They spent more time on the greens than anything else.

This place is a hidden gem. I could give the course one star or 5! First time i lost so many balls.second time I used my driver alot less and didnt lose any. Loved seeing the deer around and had a glimpse of a bear. Liked the grill at the pool but u need to bring your own propane tank.

I play here every chance i get too. Its a great course with electric carts and touch screen to score your round. Also it can do it automatically so u dont have too. They also have a driving range and a putting green to practice. Friendly and down to earth staff that knows alot. I will continue coming back here. Definitely worth the time to check it out and play a round with your famiy or friends.
