Staff very friendly, aerfication was recently done on the greens, Little bumpy still playable. Some fairways narrow and look as they were just sliced . Tees need some work . But enjoyed my first time playing

Loved this track, the yardage is shorter. But it challenges you on both 9's. It is very well maintained and easy to navigate hole to hole. The staff is nice and very helpful I would definitely come back and play this again!

Having lived at Southport for 18 yrs. I can honestly say it is a great place to live. If, however, you are looking for a golf community this might not be the right place. You pay $2,000.00 to join the club plus annual dues which are about $2000.00 per year. Members could be classified as 2nd class as all member leagues and events are relegated to afternoon times. This is to allow outside play to have the 'prime' times.Sun has spent a lot of money upgrading the course and wants to recoup their investment. It however should not be at the expense of the members. Sun must have known when they purchased the property that the golf course was not profitable and never would be. It was strictly for selling homes.
