The rating takes into account the course and the pro shop experience.I played 7/7/20. The course was in pretty good shape, though some greens were a bit scruffy. Overall, Tarpon Springs is a good value. (4*)One concern was that the pro shop was not following their posted and the county requirements for wearing masks. Twice I entered the pro shop where this was true. When I spoke to the gentleman running the shop, he admitted they should have been. There was also a young woman without a mask. He said that since she was 14, she wasn't required to wear a mask. While this is technically true, common sense dictates anyone old enough to play golf should wear a mask in indoor public places. Especially in small areas like this golf shop. (0*)

This is a great place to play golf for not that much money. Their putting green and chipping green are both free to use and open to the public, and their driving range is on grass instead of turf mats. For a municipal course that doesn't require a membership the fairways and greens are kept in really good shape and the prices to walk or to ride are very fair for such a quality golfing experience.
