Great golf course, brutal pace of play. Course is in terrific shape and challenging despite its short distance. Great views and friendly staff. However, for a par 65 it took us nearly 5 hours to finish our round. No marshals on the course managing the pace of play.

Me, my wife and a good friend went golfing here for the first time on a Friday a couple weeks back. It was our first time golfing this season and only did the back 9 while walking. It was a beautiful day and we were all excited to enjoy some golf. None of us are very good but we all have our own clubs and like to play a lot during the summer and fall. The course was beautiful and very well taken care of. However by the second hole the marshal was already hounding us about picking up the pace. There was a twosome in front of us using a cart and a foursome behind us using carts. We were walking and didnt have any choice of how they organized it. Also I must say that the people behind us were never once close to us. We were able to tee off and get to the green before they made their appearance at the tee box. I thought we were doing pretty good for walking and being relatively inexperienced. After the fourth hole the marshal again stopped us to say You really need to pick up the pace, youre holding everyone up. I looked behind us to see the foursome just teeing off on the hole we just finished. The twosome in front of us on a cart was long gone but that should be expected considering were a group of three and walking. I was shocked and disappointed that this great golf course would treat us this way. We were talking prior about coming every week to play here but the marshal made the entire round unenjoyable. We pretty much ran the last five holes and had no fun whatsoever. If you are walking or not an expert golfer I would not recommend this course to you. I will not be returning here again unfortunately which is sad because the course is beautiful.

Beautiful golf course. Short and easy and should be fairly forgiving to newer players. Well maintained especially at this time of year (early June) great place to walk nine at twighlight and soak in the views. Fair price as well. Highly recommend.

Decent course but definitely NOT worth the price. 1 par 5 on the entire course.... disappointing! So if you're under the age of 50 I'd stay away. Much better courses in the area.

West Metro Chamber
West Metro Chamber held our 28th Annual Golf Tournament with over 100 golfers at The Homestead and it went SO smoothly. We had so many rave reviews on how the staff helped out with such kindness and promptness. Thank you!

Homestead Golf course is one of the nicest executive courses in the Denver metro area. The restaurant in the clubhouse is very good and the prices are very reasonable.However...there is the issue of wind. When the wind is predicted to be breezy or stronger, you may want to look to play elsewhere. With stronger winds, the course becomes nearly impossible to play with any degree of comfort. That said, try to play this course when the winds are calmer or calm. You will love it!

It may look like a shirt course, but it's very technical... Accuracy is key!

Bomb course with great mountain and city views. You'll use all of the clubs in your bag. I'm usually a walker but take a cart for this one, brother.

Nice folks behind the desk and even more nicer waitress behind the bar. Had fun! Didn't get a chance to play the golf course way to much wind.

Nice course. Great staff. Decent clubhouse. This was not a long course but ball placement was critical. The terrain is what made for a fun round. Greens were also in really nice shape. Would play it again.

I don't golf, but this is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast. It's never crowded, the breakfasts are good and the home fries are crispy. I went there with friends. We had the place to ourselves. But be aware, there were only three items on the melamine whiteboard board for breakfast 1) Two eggs, homefries, choice of sausage and toast. 2) I don't remember (old age) 3) breakfast burritto with home fries. I was told over the phone by the golf shop, they usually stop serving breakfast at 10:00 am. All three entrees were a little over $9. My breakfast was excellent and my friends breakfast burritto looked delicious. Friendly service. Oh, and I don't know these people from Adam. Nice place!

After my brothers internment at Fort Logan we went here for his celebration of life reception. It was well done they were very friendly and efficient and the buffet was well done. It is a small quiet venue and I highly recommended it for any reception type of occasion.

What a gem of a course. It isn't long, but that doesn't make it easy. Greens are tight and accuracy is extremely important here. A lot of elevation changes, too. Stunning views on every hole, friendly staff, priced similarly to other local courses. Would highly recommend this course to anyone.Wife and I are in the weekly couples league, absolute blast!

Homestead is a good course. It has a bunch of challenging holes =, which makes this very fun. The service is good. The driving range is good. They also have a decent pitching range. The only drawback her was a couple of weeks ago it was cart path only - this is killer, but I know it has to be the exception. I ended my round by have a well prepared burger and beer.

Had a 5:40 tee time on a Friday. Played with some friends that were new to golf. Let a couple of groups of 4 play through us as we knew we would be slow. Last players on the course which was fine. At 6:45 the Marshall came by and was a complete jerk about our play time. Held us up 10 min acting like a jerk. I will NEVER play this course again. Way to encourage people not to play golf. If we only get 7 in...who are we hurting. We knew carts had to be back at 8:06pm. We are adults, we can watch a clock. Never have I ever experienced such a rude golf staff. Not even going to mention last call was prior to tee time and there isnt a single tree on the course. Play fox hollow or fossil trace on the west side of Denver. Dont play this treeless bad course with a bunch of jerks marshaling. Uggh

Maybe this review will change, I hope it does, but my first time playing there was on a Monday after noon, 1400 Tee time. I was playing with a friend, and we were paired up with another couple to make a 4 some. We were instructed to go off on the back 9. After 3 holes, the course backed up so badly, it was 10-15 min wait on every tee. We waited over 15 min on one tee, and actually teed off with the pair in front of us just to make things move along. There was 4 different parties on every tee box behind us as well. When we got to 17 we could over see the entire front 9, and there was NO ONE on it! When a ranger finally approached us, he passed blame on a large number of in-experienced golfers! I feel other courses have rangers that can move these types of golfers along in such cases. It took over 3.5 hours to play 9. I was very disappointed. I hope to one day go back, and give it another try, but I am not going to waste my time taking a risk of another 5.5 hour round of golf. This occurred on 4-15-19

A nice golf course and convenient to most areas of Lakewood. The restaurant is cute and good for a stop before or after a round. They also have a decent shop for equipment, clothes and more. Homestead also offers a good lesson program for people who want to improve their skills.

Great Course! Gal that was Starting people was a bit Abrasive, maybe sharpen those people skills. Guys at the range ball rental we're pretty rude too. Seems like all the Marshals are a part of this grumpy retirement home group Cart girls were nice on a positive note...
