The golf course is not open. New owners won't let us walk anywhere but on the paved roads . They are irrigating and mowing parts of it.

I've been a Colorado resident since 1967 and this is quite possibly my favorite course in the whole state. It's undergone some ownership changes over the years and at times the condition has lapsed. But it's a wonderful course, with great golf holes, wonderful scenery, and lots of wildlife. Rates are generally reasonable, and when I played it in Sept. 2014 it was in great shape. Take extra balls and take a camera.
