I love this course. Wide fairways, mature oak and cottonwood trees, good views of Mt Evans. One if my favorites in Denver.

Great little muni course designed by Donald Ross (architect who also designed Pinehurst No. 2, Seminole, Oak Hill, many other American classics). Course tips out at 6400 yards or so but only two par 5s, #1 & #18, so while it is a short course it feels slightly longer with 16 consecutive par 3s/4s. Course conditions are solid for a muni course...greens are pretty firm and fast and have quite a bit of natural slope to make the course challenging. Most also have raised edges to produce a slight bowl effect....so you can get a good bounce towards the center of the green but if you miss (especially short side) it will be a very tough up and down. There are no bad holes on the course and about 7 or 8 absolutely phenomenal golf holes....#2, #7, #8, #9, #10, #12, #16, #17. Definitely worth playing here vs an expensive, overrated course like Fossil Trace.

My favorite local course. Great staff, fun clubhouse, and love the beer shack on hole 7.
