My favorite local course and it's public! Lots of elevation changes. Challenging but not difficult. Good pro shop and great grill. Situated between Bakersfield and Taft, you'd never know it was there driving by on highway 119. Well worth the drive from town or a side trip if you're traveling!

Great day for golf even with all the smoke from the fires. The course was wide open and we finished 18 holes in 2 hr 45 mins!

I live in Northwest Bakersfield and never mind driving out to B.V. The recent rains have made a huge difference with the appearance and play quality. The staff there are top notch and try a lot harder than some to get your business with deals that they will text to you if you sign up. I've never played a round longer than four hours so far which is great in the summer.

Great round today for a holiday Monday. Finished 18 in 2 hours and 45 minutes. Only problem was that our cart died after 12 holes so we had to push it on the uphill and coast it on downhills. Big inconvenience. When I tried to call clubhouse no one picked up.

Played a great round on2/6/16, the course was in great shape. You can always have a good day at any county course. The greens are in great shape. Some of the best value for your money, anywhere in the state.

I've been playing BV for years and have never seen it in such poor condition. I will never play there again. Whoever is in charge has ruined a once great public course.

Excellent layout with elevation changes, doglegs and mature trees. Greens are multitiered and are the best greens of all the public tracks in Bakersfield. Friendly staff. The only reason it is not 5 star became there is no 6th star for many of the courses in Palm Desert.

I definetly plan on going again one of my best experiences with golfing yet. Golf course was clean scenery was nice, staff members were extremely helpful, quite a few random holes to accidently step in but, overall I loved it.
