It was 112 when we finished. Superstition Springs was in UNBELIEVABLY bad condition. I've been golfing for 30+ years and never played on a course in that bad of shape. Very said. They closed the pro shop and the offices at 4pm. We came in after 9 holes and there was not place to even get a drink of water. Sad way to run a business. We paid to play 18 holes, were told when we got there that we had to play the back 9 twice. The greens were beyond bad, over loaded with sand. Dead grass everywhere, water holes were red algae covered swamps.

Miserable experience. Terrible fairway conditions, dry in the rough and sopping wet fairways. Greens were almost producing puddles. Bunkers couldn't have been more compact with plants growing in them as well. Of the 20 or so courses I've played in the Phoenix area thus far, this is the worst. I'd pay the extra 10 or 15 for any other halfway respectable course any day.

Plenty of challenge: long holes, interesting hazards. As summer approaches, fairways are starting to look pretty singed. Did not see much staff support at bag drop, etc. Great pace of play...even with mid morning tee off.
